how to rewrite URL’s in WordPress to make them more SEO friendly

I just came across a great blog at Theme Lab which recently published an article which goes over a few great SEO tips when optimizing a WordPress site. In the article Optimizing WordPress for Search Engines they go over how to rewrite URL’s in WordPress to make them more SEO friendly, how to generate and submit a Google sitemap with WordPress, and how to have custom meta tags for different pages in your WordPress site. It’s a great read when you have the chance. Check out some more of their WordPress Tutorials while you’re there.

Nice post. One thing I have noticed is that SEO is a continuous process. It

cannot be done perfectly in one shot. You have to be on your toes and try out

different things to get ahead of your competitors. There have been instances

where my site’s search engines rankings have improved considerably with few

    small tweakings.
